Michael Sheehan is a licensed Professional Engineer (inactive in status) expansive experience in South Florida on a majority of the major projects over the past 15 years. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Saint Anselm College, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and a Masters of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).

He was the founder of SLS Consulting, LLC in 2012 which became the premier life safety and code consulting firm on the East Coast with multiple offices in major cities before being acquired by SOCOTEC US in 2023. While at SOCOTEC US he served as President of the Building & Real Estate Division responsible for the strategic direction and operation of the company managing 250 people, M&A efforts and co-development of artificial intelligence (AI) system (SOCOTEC Central & Bluegen). He is also a Co-Founder of CodeComply.ai, an innovative Ai software intended to improve automate aspects of the plan review process for municipal governments and the AEC industry.

Over his career he has developed an understanding of the design and engineering community and process, established deep personal relationships with the design and construction community as well as major municipal governments, understood and fostered aspects of the approval process and industry standards for large complex projects and worked in a spirit of collaboration with all stakeholders at all phases of a project.
